Why?
For too long, the voices of women and girls have been silenced or ignored when they need to be heard the most. Women and girls should not feel unsafe simply because of their gender, and especially not in places where they are supposed to be loved, supported, and protected.Â
Violence against women doesn’t just affect the individual, but it affects the community. It affects the world. Everyone has a crucial role to play in the move towards a safer world for women, young girls, and their families.
From November 25th, I shall be walking every day for 16 days to reach my goal of 60km. By donating, you are putting your money where it really matters; to help build a better future for everyone. All funds go to UN Women Australia, to provide help, resources, and protection to women and girls suffering from domestic violence, harassment, inequality, and other forms of abuse.Â
