This is for women and girls everywhere....

Hi family and friends, from November 25th, I’m going to be walking for a cause that is close to my heart.

Every woman and girl around the world, deserves to feel Safe. Everywhere. Always. – at home, at the gym, even online - and that is why I’m joining UN Women Australia in the walk to end violence against women and girls.

Help me reach my fundraising goal and we can help to build a better future for women and girls around the world.

Sunday 24th Nov
The past couple of years have been a transformative journey for me. I’ve been focused on calming my nervous system—learning how to feel safe in my own body, trust myself, and find peace in my home and the suburb I grew up in. It’s been about rediscovering safety, not just in familiar places, but also in stepping out into the big, unpredictable world. At a recent concert, John Butler shared something about his new healing album, Running River, that deeply resonated with me. He spoke about learning to meditate and how, as we get older, our bodies aren’t as equipped to handle stress the way they once were. It was a powerful reminder of how important it is to protect your peace, find your calm, and create a sense of safety for yourself. This journey feels even more urgent when I think about the 86 women who have lost their lives to violence in Australia this year. It’s a devastating reminder that we live in a country where safety for women is still not guaranteed. This week also marks two years of my alcohol-free journey—a decision I made to show up for myself and the causes I care about with clarity and purpose. This is why I walk. I walk to raise awareness. I walk to demand change. I walk so that women can feel safe - everywhere, always. I’m raising funds to support UN Women, an organisation working tirelessly to create a safer, more equitable world for women and girls. Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring us closer to that vision. If my story resonates with you, I’d be so grateful for your support. Maybe, just maybe, if everyone donated $1. Maybe, just maybe, if I walk 100km, we can push our country to take action. Maybe it will make a difference; maybe it won’t. But one thing I know for sure is that abuse thrives in silence, and by shining a spotlight on it, we have the power to end violence against women.
