In Australia, the statistics are devastating. In the past 14 days, nine women have been lost, majority of those at the hands of men. On average, one in four Australian women will experience violence by an intimate partner in her lifetime, and at the current rate this year 1 woman is killed every 4 days.

Starting November 25, I’ll be walking 100 km over 16 days for the 79 women lost to violence this year, to raise awareness and funds. This isn’t just about numbers; it’s about lives cut short and a system that must change.

This is a cause that I find so essential to advocate for, and very donation will go to The UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women, the only global grant-giving mechanism exclusively dedicated to preventing and ending violence against women and girls globally.
