This is for women and girls everywhere....

Hi family and friends, from November 25th, I’m going to be walking for a cause that is close to my heart.

My primary motivation is for my daughter Elle, in the hope that she can grow up in a world where she feels safe, valued and respected. A world where gender-based violence is no longer a reality. But my commitment extends beyond this, because I believe everyone, especially women and children, deserves to live free from violence and fear. 

I've experienced firsthand, the profound impact gender based violence can have on lives. I grew up in an era where it was common to ignore issues in order to avoid conflict, rather than confronting them head on.

I want a different trajectory for the future, a future where I don't have to teach my daughter how to navigate situations with hypervigilance as women have always had to do. We must confront these challenges openly and work together to create meaningful and lasting change.
